For your school's IT team
We're coming to your school
Curriculum Tool helps teachers plan the Curriculum for Wales. If it will not open on your school network, this page shows your IT team how to let it through. It takes about two minutes.
If the website will not load
Some school networks block websites they do not recognise yet, which is why Curriculum Tool might not open for you. You do not need to fix anything technical yourself. Just send this page to whoever looks after your school's computers and network. Everything they need is below.
For your IT team
Curriculum Tool is a standard, secure website. To make it work on your network, please:
-
1
Allow our website
Permit *.curriculumtool.co.uk through your firewall and web filter.
-
2
Allow secure web traffic
Allow HTTPS over TCP port 443. This is normal, encrypted web traffic.
-
3
Use a modern browser
Any current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox works. Nothing to install.
No special ports, no software to install, and no inbound access to your network is required.
If your filter needs each domain listed, allow the following over HTTPS (TCP 443):
| Domain | What it's for |
|---|---|
| www.curriculumtool.co.uk | The application |
| p.curriculumtool.co.uk | Privacy-friendly analytics |
| media.curriculumtool.co.uk | Tutorial video |
| cdn.jsdelivr.net | JavaScript libraries |
| plausible.io | Privacy-friendly analytics |
| fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com, rsms.me | Web fonts |
Allow our emails
Curriculum Tool sends sign-in links, password resets and notifications by email, from more than one address at our domain. So they all reach your staff, the simplest fix is to allowlist the whole domain in your mail filter:
- Allow our domain
- curriculumtool.co.uk
- For example
- [email protected]
Our email is sent through Postmark and is SPF and DKIM authenticated, so it is safe to allow.
